The Patton SmartNode 4970 is a PRI gateway which provides 1 to 4 T1/E1/PRI and a 10/100/1000 Ethernet for up to 120 VoIP calls. Enterprises can now quickly, easily, and affordably IP-enable legacy PBX systems to deliver toll quality voice on every call.

The Patton SN4971 SmartNodes are exactly like the SN4970 models except that the SN4971 units feature a High Precision 5ppm Clock Source . For high precision clock PBX models, we recommend that customers replace SN4970 with SN4971 in the model code.
